TNPSC won’t release cut off marks officially. Coaching institutes predict cut off marks based on their student’s performance and their result. Though there is a difference between each institute’s guess. Some TNPSC coaching institutes publish very high expected TNPSC Group 1 cut off marks and some institutes are contradicting them.
It is said to be that, this year the question paper is very tough for rural and TNPSC aspirants at the same time it is easy for UPSC aspirants.
Reason: Usually facts based questions are asked by TNPSC. But this year more conceptual questions are asked in this Group 1 Prelims so that even UPSC aspirants may find it little hard to answer.
Number of vacancies are nearly twice than last time. But the toughness of the question paper increased. UPSC aspirants are reporting to score more than 120 easily while Serious TNPSC aspirants also report 120+ score.
So The provided list is based on Arithmetic mean calculation among reputed institutions data.
Candidates are shortlisted in 1:50 ratio. So 9050 candidates will be selected for Group 1 Mains exam.

this list speaks about the number of questions. So calculated out of 200.
The cutoff you have shared in on same vein as 2017. But vacancies have increased 2x times. I don't agree. It will surely be lesser than last time
Agree with you. But the cut off predicted is based on 2017 but not the same as it is. Considering the toughness of question paper and mistakes in answer keys I expect some variation. Will update there are any changes.
